About Us
At The Ladie Presentz, our mission is to provide compassionate support, vital resources, and educational opportunities to individuals and families navigating the profound loss of a loved one to cancer. We are dedicated to easing the burdens as early as the first eight weeks after loss, creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters healing, connection, and resilience. Through our community-focused activities and tailored guidance, we aim to empower individuals to rebuild, grow, and honor their loved ones with strength and hope.
Background of Organization
The Ladie Presentz was founded from a place of deep personal experience and compassion by Ladie Warfield a widow who understands the profound challenges of losing a loved one to cancer. After losing her husband of 23 years to leukemia at the young age of 41, she faced an overwhelming journey of grief while raising adolescent children. Despite her support network of friends and family, there was a noticeable gap—none had experienced the unique pain of losing a spouse or parent to cancer.
Her husband's 1.5-year battle with cancer was marked by numerous surgeries, hospital stays, and an unexpected rapid decline. When he passed, the first eight weeks after his death became a whirlwind of responsibilities—planning a funeral, returning to work, caring for her children, and trying to maintain her own mental and emotional health. Without guidance or tailored support, important matters often fell by the wayside. This experience highlighted the critical need for resources and assistance during such a vulnerable time.
Motivated by her journey and the desire to help others navigate this complex period, The Ladie Presentz was born. The organization is dedicated to providing critical support to spouses and adolescent children in the aftermath of a loved one's death due to cancer.
Beyond the immediate support, the organization also provides ongoing care where families can connect and find solace in shared experiences.
